Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.Another version says “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”2 Kings 19:14,15 “Hezeki′ah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezeki′ah went up to the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.And Hezeki′ah prayed before the Lord”(1 Thes 5:17-18) says “Pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
