“BE A WINNER!

“And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.” (1 Chr 18:6)

Every time David stepped out, he came back victorious.
David never lost against his enemies. Each time he went out to battle, he came back a winner.

Are you a winner?
Do you want to be a winner?

‘Wherever’ he went, the Lord gave victory to him!
David didn’t know what it was to lose!
David didn’t understand the concept of failure.
It meant that whatever he touched, turned to gold. Can I hear an amen!

If David opened a business, it prospered.
If David went for an interview, he was successful.
If David applied for IT, he got IT!
If David entered the race, he won!
If David wanted IT, he GOT IT!
If everybody was failing, David was winning!

HOW DO YOU BECOME A WINNER LIKE DAVID?

1) DAVID WAS A DOER
“After this David defeated the Philistines” (v.1)
To defeat his enemies, he had to go to war.
David was a doer and not just a sayer.
Once he knew he had a task, he went about doing it.
Do you ‘DO’ or do you just ‘TALK?’
To be a winner you have to rise up each day and DO IT.

2) YOU HAVE TO OVERCOME THE GIANTS, BECOME AN OVERCOMER! “……. and subdued them” (v.1)
To subdue is to defeat, conquer, overcome and subjugate.
Whenever David had a task, he conquered IT. David mastered whatever was thrown at him.
Do you spend time to master what is ahead of you or do you just hoover around and do just enough to get you by?
Winners work hard, study hard, sacrifice their time and develop patience to learn, master, apply and become consistent.

That way they overcome the several Giants that stand along their way.
Are you ready?

So What task is infront of you? What job is starring at you? What detail are you to study?
Are you ready to do the time?
Have you mastered your technique?
Have you conquered your fears?
Have you overcome your phobias?
Have you suppressed your scepticism?

3) WINNING IS A HABIT
“And he defeated Moab…..” v.2
“David also defeated Hadade’zer king of Zobah” v.3
“And when the Syrians of Damascus came…. David slew twenty-two thousand men of the Syrians……” v.5

Winning is a habit, losing is a habit too.
David was a winner because he developed a winning habit, a winning sensation.
Champions always find a way to win, but if they don’t find one, they make their own way

What about you?
Do you find a way to win, in spite of the odds?
Do you make a way when there seems to be none?
Those who become serial winners, do so because they just can’t accept defeat.

LESSONS:
1) Be a doer and not just a sayer. The world is full of those who just talk the talk and not walk the talk.
2) Learn, master and overcome IT, before you move on to another task. It’s a skill nobody can take from you.
3) Develop a winning Habit from within. It takes you to the realm of Champions.

God bless you!
